How do I create assets using the bulk upload feature?

A step-by-step guide to using our bulk upload tool

Besides adding assets one by one, you can also add multiple assets into a collection using an Excel file.

Select the "Bulk upload" button on a given collection page
Download the Excel template, then open the file and start adding your assets
1. Each tab includes an asset and financing type (e.g. Private Equity, Private Debt, CRE Equity, etc.). Learn more about asset types and how to select them
2. Select GICS and EEIO via the dropdown. If you are unsure what to select, leave it blank, but it is required for calculation. Learn more about GICS and EEIO and how to select the correct sector.
3. Select the relevant country code (see the reference table below).
4. Columns include validation if the fields require a number, text or percentage. Learn more about how to achieve a PCAF data quality score for each asset type
Upload the file
Add assets
1. If any error occurs, please use the downloadable report to resolve any conflict.
2. If any duplicates are found, you can merge assets or exclude them from the upload,

Once assets are uploaded, you can use them in other collections without needing to add identifying information.
