Asset Details: Investment Information

Outlines the investment and operational information required to enable asset- level financed emission calculations.

Pathzero Navigator currently supports the creation of collections or funds for analysis covering four asset types. They are: 

  • Private company
  • Listed company
  • Project
  • Commercial real estate (CRE) 

The fields available per asset type may differ slightly.

Creating a private company, listed company or project asset

Investment Information

Investment information determines the calculation inputs required to calculate financed (fund attributable) emissions and is used for the emissions intensity calculation. The following fields are required:

  • Type of financing provided to the asset: Select from 'equity' or 'debt' based on the nature of the investment. Note there is an additional selection of 'unlisted bonds' enabled for listed company investment.
  • Input currency: Select the currency representing the data entered.

  • Outstanding balance: For an equity investment this is representative of the mark-to-market net asset value (NAV) of the investment at reporting year end. For a debt investment, this is principal value of the loan drawn as at reporting year end.

Operational Information

The country of operation and industry of the asset is used for estimating emissions and will be a reportable dimension when analysing and reporting emissions.

  • Primary country of operation: Select the country that represents the asset’s primary country of operation. If no option is applicable, select a Rest of World (RoW) option.
  • Primary sector of the asset: Select the most applicable GICs and EEIO sector.

Intensity Metric (optional)

  • Number of full time employees: Provide the Average full-time equivalent employees for the reporting period. This allows for analysis at a per FTE basis.

Creating a commercial real estate asset

Investment Information
