2.6 Verification and Validation of carbon account

This article sets out the requirements to get your work verified and validated to achieve the carbon neutral certification.


Verification work refers to the review of the emissions boundary by a qualified person to assess the completeness of the scope of emission sources included in the boundary.


Validation refers to the process of tracing entered activity data through to supporting documentation to confirm the validity of the numbers entered.

Requirement: An organisation seeking carbon neutral certification under this standard must arrange for a qualified person to perform verification work and validation work and evidence this through digital signature in the Pathzero platform.
